Native American Heritage MonthNovember is Native American Heritage Month, a time to recognize the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Native American communities. As the first settlers of the United States, their contributions can be felt throughout the history of our country and even on the very ground we stand on. New Jersey was primarily settled by the Lenni-Lenape tribe. And this Native American Heritage Month we honor the Lenape and other Indigenous caretakers of these lands, as well as the current tribes that reside here today: Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Nation, Ramapough Lenape Nation, and Powhatan Renape Nation.Learn Morehttps://www.nj.gov/state/njcaia.shtml\Images\ChaptersHomepageBannerImages\naswnj.socialworkers.org\Native American Heritage Month Hero Image.pngNative American Heritage Monthnaswnj.socialworkers.org
