Clinical Supervision

The New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners requires that individuals working toward their LCSW be supervised by a professional whom has successfully completed a certificate in clinical supervision (among other requirements!).  We offer this course several times throughout the year and invite qualified LCSW's to join us in becoming a clinical supervisor for the next generation of social workers.

In addition to providing the course, we offer the only statewide clinical supervisor directory as a resource to connect individuals seeking supervision and providing supervision.  This resource is open to the public to search, free for members to be listed and non-members are able to become listed in the directory for a nominal charge.

Clinical Supervisor Directory

Clinical supervisors play an important role in supporting the growth of our profession.  For many social workers, supervision is not offered at their place of employment and they seek outside supervision.  It's a win-win for both the social worker seeking supervision and LCSW providing it. We are happy to provide you this directory.

Here's what you need to know:
  • Supervisors have their LCSW for a minimum of 3 years.
  • License in good standing in New Jersey.
  • All supervisors listed have taken the course.
